If you have lost iPhone Photos due to an iOS update, accidental manual deletion or any other error, the are two ways you can get them back.
- The ‘Recently Deleted’ folder on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
- An iTunes backup file if you have one available
- An iCloud backup
If you have deleted photos and videos from the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder on your device, the best way to recover deleted photos is from an iTunes backup file. This is because photos and videos are stored in the directory of the phone, making it trickier for security reasons to recover photos and videos directly from an iOS device.
If you have an iTunes backup available from before you deleted the photos and videos, simply scan the file using Enigma Recovery to preview your data. To export your photos and videos to your Mac or Windows PC, upgrade your license to view and export all of your data.
You can also check your last iCloud backup, if you have one available, to see if the data you are looking for is there and then, restore them to your device by carrying out a full iCloud backup restore to your iPhone.
